Motorcycle Ride for Breast Cancer Research

Another fantastic ride folks.

We had 223 riders/passengers registered and we raised over $46,000 (and counting!). That brings the four year total you've helped us raise for breast cancer research to over $106,000 !

 We think the rain on Saturday may have frightened some people away but once again we pretty much dodged the wetness. While it poured on Saturday we had mixed sun and clouds with only the briefest of showers (tears of joy from heaven in honour of everyone's efforts) on ride day.

We want to offer our sincerest thanks to everyone who helped pull this together. A very special thank you to Oceanside Chevrolet for letting us use their site - it was the perfect facility for us and really made things pleasant. While we really missed having the RCMP escort this year we want to thank the Parksville RCMP for their assistance with traffic control at the start of the ride.

Many thanks to our sponsors who donated food, prizes, helped with promoting the ride and so much more.

Of course our biggest thanks goes to all the riders and the people who sponsored them - you are what makes this event so special.

This ride marked the last one for the founding organizers. We've had a great time putting on these four rides, but it's also a lot of work and we see ourselves having too many other commitments in the next few years to give the ride the attention it deserves.
